Analysis
Deprived of a number of key players, Stéphane Gilli and his staff put together an unprecedented 3-5-2 line-up for the trip to Pau on Matchday 3 of Ligue 2 BKT. The game got off to a rather Parisian start. Led by Ilan Kebbal, the players from the capital created a few chances. Our number 10 came close to opening the scoring with a classy move of his own. Finally, it was Pau who opened the scoring from their first half-chance after the Parisian defence had misjudged a corner. It was a crushing blow for the dominant Parisians.
After the break, the Parisians came close to conceding another goal, but Jules Gaudin saved. Just after the hour mark, Pau doubled their lead through Khalid Boutaïb. Paris just couldn’t get going. Despite a few chances, the Parisians were unable to get back into the game.
Paris FC host US Concarneau at the Stade de l’Aube next Saturday (7pm).
