Trained at Le Havre, Alimani climbed the ranks until he joined the first team after a season of 15 goals in 22 games with Le Havre’s B-team in National 3. In the professional team, the lanky winger quickly became a key player for Havre AC. In 2019, he moved to Belgium where he played 19 games with Cercle Brugge before being loaned to Troyes last season. Alimami played 26 games, scored 5 goals, and played an important role in the Ligue 2 BKT title.
